Next New

The next new media could be having all these electronics out today such as a smartphone or a tablet embodied into our own human system. Just as how new technologies appear in movies, one of these features includes holographic. Although we already have holographic, it is nothing like what is shown in the movies such as Black Panther and Iron Man where characters name Shuri and Tony Stark uses the hologram to help them do their scientific research. Microsoft has made something similar called "holoporation" which allows consumers to project a full-body likeness into a remote location. But this technology is far away from being sold commercially. When we have the holographic technology ready to use, some of the advantages are storing an unthinkable amount of information and data,  using as a tool for visualizing patient data while training students and surgeons and being complex optical device and difficult to make will make an incredible commercial security market and many more advantages. I believe with the works that have already been done, holographic will eventually enter into the mainstream as how smartphones and laptops have entered into our lives.

  1. Holographic technology has been developed and some teams are experimenting with and testing the technology, and many R&D departments are looking to make it suitable for consumers. However, some technology companies are using this technology afterwards. For ordinary users, the cost is too expensive. Although it is very novel for them, I feel that the high cost makes many people discouraged.

  2. Hi Angela! This is a very interesting thought for the holographic. I love the movie Black panther and Iron Man and I'm always impressed by the holographic that they were used in the movie. I was always thinking about if one day our reality world could adapt this technology into our life. That will be really cool and helpful.

  3. Hi Angela, One of my friends actually thinks that this is where technology is headed. We've had many discussion about how tech hardware as we currently know it is going to change and somehow become incorporated into our physical bodies. I think it's a strange idea and cannot rationally visualize any aspect of it, but that doesn't mean that it's not coming.

  4. Hey Angela,
This topic is very interesting as it has only really been depicted in movies. I believe that this technology will be life changing for many people. Users could be able to see their loved ones through these hologram projectors. I can definitely see it being in commercial use but many people would probably be unlikely to regularly access this type of technology. However, there could be an industry that capitalizes on lending this service. Its very exciting to see how this technology develops.
